WHAT HAPPENED?
The Old Trafford club have been heavily linked with the Brentford star, but are preparing to lose out to Spurs. United lodged a £55 million offer to the west London club, but have been outmanoeuvred by Tottenham's reported bid of £70m. ESPN are now reporting United have earmarked Bournemouth's Semenyo and Palace's Eze as potential Plan Bs.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Both players have been linked with a move to north London themselves, but it is believed Thomas Frank wants to reunite with the impressive Mbeumo. Semenyo and Eze impressed in the 2024/25 season, respectively logging 16 goal contributions in the Premier League.
